In soccer there are a lot of different kinds of kicks.  Some of the most common kicks are the goal kicks, corner kicks, direct kicks, and indirect kicks.  The goal kick occurs when the ball goes out of bounds over the end line and the other team last touched it.  This usually happens when the other team tries shooting and it goes over the goal.  Then you have the corner kicks.  Teams get to take corner kicks when they’re going to score but someone on the defending team kicks it out on the end line to prevent them from scoring.  When a team gets to take a direct kick it’s usually because there was a serious foul given.  When a team gets to take direct kicks that means it’s a free kick and the shot can be taken with out someone on your team touching it first.  An indirect kick is also a free kick that usually occurs on a foul that’s not very serious but a team member or someone on the opposite team must touch it before you’re allowed to score.
