Comb JellyThis is known as a Comb Jelly. It mainly lives in shallow coastal waters, but has been spotted in depths of 12,000 feet. The bands you see around it, are made up of cilia, aka ctenes separating it into a symmetrical of eight sections.
It may look like an exotic lava lamp, but this is a Jellyfish also. It’s called a Crown Jelly. These live mainly in warm, tropical waters.Crown Jelly

Some Jellyfish can emit light. This is called Bioluminescence. They activate two chemicals in their bodies, these two chemicals are known as luciferin, and luciferinase.

Called the Helmet Jellyfish, it’s found in every ocean of the world; Arctic, to Pacific, 1,000- 7,000 feet deep.
