Folkstyle wrestling is the most popular form of wrestling in the United States. Folkstyle uses both the throws of Greco and the locks and turns of Freestyle. The scoring in Folkstyle is a lot different than Freestyle and Greco, but some of the scores are similar. Most of America’s best wrestlers have evolved from folkstyle in high school and college then are able to grapple with the world’s best in Greco and Freestyle. This wrestling originates back to early settlers having competitions.
