The LSAT is a very strong and very good light machine gun much better than its stronger but much slower firing cousin the MK48. The LSAT is unlocked very early in the game at level 13, which gives you a slight advantage at range than the MK48. The LSAT like most of the LMG’s is a long range gun and there reason I say most is because of the terrible range performance of the QBB LSW which works better at mid range. The reload time is slow at 7.01 seconds when the massive 100 bullet clip is empty, but the reload time drops to 6.91 seconds with at least one bullet still in the clip. The LSAT’s iron sights are poor so using an optic will help a lot with your accuracy.
