The LA Kings were not founded till the 1967. The Kings became one of the six teams that began play as part of the 1967 NHL expansion. Kings stayed at Inglewood, California for 32 years till them moved down to downtown Los Angeles. The Kings first jerseys were from the 1967-68 and the uniforms were yellow and purple. The first owner of the LA Kings was Jack Kent Cooke.
