Gabriella Montez is played by Vanessa Anne Hudgens and she is the new, quiet girl at school that just moved in. She met Troy by being forced to sing a karaoke duet with him during a New Year’s ski trip. Gabriella is very smart, but she doesn’t like to be recognized for her academic accomplishments.
