| Facebook is a social network website that was launched in 2004. Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg and his college roommates at Harvard University. The website’s membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, and was later expanded to students at other schools in the Boston area. It gradually became more and more popular.
