Dalmatians are sometimes so playful that they are high-strung. They need daily exercise or they will become very destructive. Although most Dalmatians love children, they are often too big and clumsy for younger kids. Dalmatians are sometimes suspicious of strangers and aggressive with other dogs. The males will roam off if they are not fenced in, or on a leash. The weight of a Dalmatian is up to 65 pounds, and can grow up to or more than 25 inches. Dalmatians have to be brushed because they shed a lot. Sometimes to become family pets, Dalmatians need professional training. They need a low-protein diet in order to avoid bladder and kidney stones. Even though Dalmatians have problems, they still could be a wonderful pet.
