Professor Xavier is the father of the X-Men; a wealthy mutant, he has the power of mind-reading, influencing, and controlling one’s mind. Also, Professor X is paraplegic because he fought an alien named Lucifer from another planet. Xavier’s role was inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. because he wanted mutant equality, and to protect against evil mutants like Magneto. So to establish these goals, he founded Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. This was for mutants to go to school and learn how to control their powers. The first group of students was the original X-Men. Xavier is not only trusted by his students, but also the Avengers and the Fantastic Four.
