The Notre Dame basketball program was founded in 1842. The head coach this year is Mike Brey. The Irish basketball program is in the very competitive Big East conference. Notre Dame should have a great 2012/2013-year because all five starters are returning. Last year the Irish had a 22-12 record. The blue and gold always have a tough team because of their hard-working attitude.
