Tissues are defined as a group of similar cells that have a common function. A basic knowledge of histology can be useful to anyone, but biologists, and those in medicine or veterinary medicine primarily need a very in depth knowledge. A Histologist is someone who obtains tissue samples from patients and prepares the tissue on a slide to send to a pathologist. |
