Info

The fox is a very widely used term. While most envision a red or orange dog-like creature, there are around 37 different species of fox including the Red Fox, Fennec Fox, and even the Arctic Fox. Also people may not know, but the male fox is called a "dog," the female is a "vixen," and the young are called, "kit," "pup," or "cub," and a group of foxes is called a "Skulk." There is also a charity that helps foxes with injuries, and helps to safely remove them from people's homes, they call themselves the "Fox Project." Finally, in Finland, the Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights, is known as the "revontulet," which means "fox fires." They call it this because they believe that the lights were made by a fox, painting the sky with its tail, as it ran through the sky.
