Diamond Aircraft Company has build a line of aircraft for personal and training use.  One of their best airplanes in the line is the DA40, a 180 horsepower monoplane.  Besides the numerous safety features, the DA40 offers many other unique features.  All aircraft come with the standard Garmin G1000 avionics along with autopilot.  The aircraft also features a stick controller versus the yoke of other single engine aircraft.  This allows the pilot to have many controls at his fingertips.  The DA40 is designed with the environment in mind since it is very fuel-efficient.  This airplane can cruise up to 157 knots, but in order to achieve maximum range the engine must run slower.  The DA40 does offer a 785 nautical mile range, which is worth the slightly slower speed.
