The Chevy pickup began in 1918.  William Durant teamed up with Louis Chevrolet to build the truck. The truck’s basic feature was a chassis cowl with a 4-cylinder motor and transmission. The buyer had to provide a cab for the pickup.

            The Chevy pickup has made many changes throwout its life. There have been many up and downs in its history, all of them making the Chevy truck what it are today. Today Chevy trucks are a far cry from the first model in 1918. What once came with no cab now can come with leather seats, power windows and locks, and much more.
