Michael Jordan was born February 14, 1963. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. While in school, Jordan played football, baseball, and basketball. Michael Jordan’s sophomore year he tried out for the varsity basketball team but was cut because he was to short. As a result he made the junior varsity team and that summer was determined and dedicated to make it the next school year, and did.
