The Navy is one of America’s oldest fighting forces. It has been around for more than 200 years. With most of the earth covered in water, the Navy has a lot of area to protect. Most of the world’s goods are transported through the water. The Navy has fought in ten major wars and has won all of them. Along with its wartime duties it does peacetime operations like helping civilians during disasters.
