pro 1 Lebron was the first player picked in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. During the 2003-04 season, Lebron made history, becoming the first member of the Cavs to win Rookie of the Year Award, as well as the youngest (age 20). Averaging 20 PPG his rookie year, he was up there with Michael Jordan. The following season he upped his PPG average to 27.2, as well as becoming the youngest player to score 50 points in one game. He was also selected for the NBA All-Star game for the first time, a feat he would repeat several times over the next few seasons.
In 2006 Lebron was named MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the NBA All-Star game. During the 2007-08 season, Lebron continued to help the Cavs improve their standings in the Eastern Conference and the team made it to the semifinals, where they were defeated in seven games, by the Boston Celtics. Lebron had a stellar year, outperforming such rival players as Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson by scoring an average of 30 PPG, the highest average in the NBA regular season.

pro 3 Lebron became a free agent in 2010, and shortly after, announced that he would be joining the Miami Heat for the 2010-11 season. Many fans of the Cavs considered this betrayal, and even the owner of the Cavs wrote a letter calling his decision “selfish”, “heartless” and a “cowardly betrayal.” Unfazed Lebron finished his first season with the Heat with an average of 26.7 PPG.

Lebron’s second season with the Heat ended in what he had been longing for, an NBA championship to call his own. During the 2012-13 season, Lebron became the youngest player, age 28, to score 20,000 points, succeeding Kobe Bryant of the Lakers. He is only the 38th player in NBA history to achieve this.
