Barcelona is in a league called “La Liga”. La Liga is division I and is the top professional association futbol divison in all of Spain. It consists of 20 teams in the league, the bottom three teams will be moved down to division II and the top two teams in divison II will be moved up to division I. La Liga has had a total of 59 teams ever played in the league. Only nine teams have been crowned champions. La Liga is the strongest league in all of Europe over the past five years.
