George Lucas’ 1977 hit is about Luke Skywalker and his friends gallivanting across the universe in hopes of defeating the evil Empire. That is really all I’m going to say, this one is way too special to ruin.

My first note about Star Wars is, if you haven’t seen Star Wars yet- go watch it. Now. I mean now. You think I’m joking: I’m completely serious. At a time when space travel was still a new thing, George Lucas transported us to a planet with two suns, a space station that can decimate planets, and ships that can travel at unfathomable speeds. The fantasy aspect of this movie helps many people wonder if we really are alone in the universe.
