Izumi Curtis Izumi is the alchemist that taught Ed and Al after their mom dies. She claims to be nothing more than a housewife but consistently proves to be more, helping Ed and Al throughout the series. She committed the ultimate sin as well. |

Ling Yao Ling Yao is a prince from the same country as Mei and is looking for the philosopher's stone as well. He is aided by Lan Fan and an old man. Ed and Ling often argue and though he is a fairly upbeat character, he ends up being Greed, one of the Sins. |

Maria Ross Ross is another of Roy’s subordinates. She disappears in the series, thought to be dead but comes back to work with Roy and the rest of the team to try and stop the homunculi from destroying Central. |

Rose Rose isn’t really seen in Brotherhood, but shows up in the original Fullmetal Alchemist series. She was in a town that was corrupted by a priest named Cornello, who claimed to be able to bring people back to life, the ultimate alchemy sin. She believed in Cornello because she wanted to see her dead boyfriend once more. |

Scar Scar is an Ishvalan who escaped after the war. He seems to be a bad guy in the beginning of the series because he is out for revenge, killing state alchemists with his own form of alchemy, but later helps Ed. He is responsible for the death of Winry’s parents. Strangely, he somehow got the arm of his brother, which allows him to do all his killing. |

Tim Marcoh Marcoh is an alchemist and scientist. He figured out how to create the philosopher's stone, but when Ed and Al go to visit him, he is very reluctant to tell them because of the way it must be made. He ends up dying by the hands of one of the homunculi. |

Truth Truth is the figure that stands outside of the Gate of Truth. He shows up when Ed and Al try to bring their mother back, taking Ed’s arm and leg. |

Van Hoenheim Van is Ed and Al’s father. He is very mysterious during the series, his role not seen until about halfway through the series. He knows more than he lets on about the homunculi, and seems to know who Father is. |

Barry the Chopper Barry is like Al, a suit of armor without a body. He shows up in the series at an abandoned lab, where Ed and Al visit because of rumors of a philosopher’s stone having been made there. He fights Al and puts doubts in his mind about Al just being nothing more than a soul attached to a chunk of metal. |

Shou Tucker Shou Tucker is known as the Life Alchemist. He makes many chimeras, a mix of animals into one. He is best known for making the first talking chimera, but Ed finds out that he used his wife, which is illegal. Tucker, desperate to keep his certification, uses his own daughter, Nina, and their dog, Alexander, to create a second talking chimera. Scar ends up killing off Tucker for being a state alchemist. |

Nina and Alexander Nina is the adorable daughter of Shou. She is well-loved by Ed and Al, who went to her and her father’s house to study for the Alchemy test. She meets an untimely demise when Scar kills her to put her out of her misery. |

Slicer Slicer is two people in one suit of armor. The brothers were prisoners in the lab that Ed and Al met Barry in. They too were just souls attached to armor, and fight Ed in the lab. |

Cornello Cornello was the priest in the town of Liore, and had what turned out to be a fake philosopher's stone. Ed and Al end up beating him, but the homunculi have other plans and replace him with one of their own. |

Paninya Paninya is a girl that Ed, Al and Winry meet towards the middle of the series. She plays an important role in Winry’s development as an automail mechanic. She steals Ed’s watch that proves he is a state alchemist, and also has automail legs. |

Lan Fan Lan Fan is an aide to Ling, trying to help him get the stone. She goes as far as cutting off her arm to help Ling escape the bad guys and shows up a few times during the series. She is very skilled at her job, surprising Ed that she is in fact a girl when they fight. |
