The Kingman Group is the company that produces Spyder paintball markers. They are known for their low price tag and easy maintenance.  The electronic markers have an electric sensor known as an Eye in the barrel that is similar to the A.C.T. of the Tippmann markers; but instead uses a beam-break Eye to prevent chopping. Their lineup includes Spyder, Java and Raven.  The 3 main versions of the Spyder are the MR, RS, and VS.   The VS series is aimed more at tournament speedball players.  It usually has electronic marker eyes with semi-automatic and 3 round burst modes as a standard feature.  The MR series is Spyder’s attempt at Mil-Sim style paintball.  The MR1 is the basic model with a detachable stock and mechanical action similar to most mechanical Spyders.  The MR2 has an electronic trigger and Anti-Chop System (A.C.S.) bolt.  The MR3 has an electric Eye to prevent chopping.  The RS is the newest line featuring the “SE Technology” or Synergy Engineered Technology, which, by claim of Kingman, reduces chopping.
