Robert Cleckler Bowden was born November 8, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama.  Bowden is now at the age of 78 and is still going strong.  He is known as Bobby Bowden now the head coach of the Florida State Seminoles.  He began his career with the Noles in 1976.  He has led the Seminoles to three National titles. Bowden and his rivalry coach and good friend Joe Paterno the coach for the Penn State Nitany Lions, are leading the NCAA in the most wins in history.  Bowden is just behind Paterno by no more than four wins.
