The Seminole is one of the main attractions at a FSU football game.  The Seminole is the university’s mascot, and makes his presence known at every home football game.  The Seminole warrior is a tradition that goes back to when the head coach Bobby Bowden came to be the head coach for the football team.  They introduced the stabbing of the flaming spear in 1992.  Chief Osceaola was the name given to the warrior.  The Chief has been passed down for many years, and the university is very proud of its many accomplishments thanks to the chief.  Chief Osceaola is a unique mascot. His uniform is all made exactly of what the real Seminoles would have made their uniforms of.  It is also identical to what the actual chief Osceaola’s uniform would have looked like.
