Christian Ponder is the starting QB for the Seminoles.  He is in his sophomore year starting as a red-shirted freshman.  Ponder is 6-foot-2, 216 lbs and runs a 4.75 s. 40-yd dash.  Ponder’s total career stats are 916 passing yards and 364 rushing yards as of 10/15/2008; not bad for his first year starting with the Noles.  Ponder is the starting QB over 2^nd string D’vontry Richardson,  and 3^rd string Drew Weatherford, who started his first three years of college and is now a sitting senior.  Ponder is on his way to be the number one QB that Florida State has ever seen.   He is now the 3^rd best QB in the nation as a red-shirted freshman, and starting sophomore.
