Cheetahs also have some usual habits. Due to the fact that they cannot roar like many other wild cats, they do make certain sounds to mean different things. Cheetahs chirp when trying to find each other, such as a mother tries to find her cubs if they are lost.

Churring (or stuttering) is used during a social meeting or as an invitation to one, or as an expression of interest or uncertainty.Growling is a well known sound that is made when the cheetah is annoyed or in danger. Yowling is a form of growling that is made when the danger is worsened.

Purring is also a well known sound. It is very similar to that of an ordinary household cat, showing contentment.
