Mike McCarthy became the Packers head coach in 2006. He was named coach of the year in 2007 and is only the second coach since Vince Lombardi to get his team championship in only his second season. Known for his ability to develop quarterbacks, McCarthy has worked with 34 Pro Bowl selections, six MVP’s, and nine Super Bowl starters. When scoring more than 30 points, the Packers are 17-1 under this head coach. All of the Packers teams that McCarthy has coached have been ranked in the top ten in total yardage for the NFL. Last year the Pack went 10-6. McCarthy is hoping to turn that around this year.
