The hall of fame was founded in 1975. The first eight people in it were Ray Bluth, Don Carter, Carmen Salvino, Harry Smith, Dick Weber, Billy welu, Frank Esposito, and Chuck Pezzano. To be put into the hall of fame you have to have won minimum of ten titles or five PBA title two majors and a member of PBA for 20 years. You can be in the senior hall of fame and to get into that you have to win a minimum of eight senior titles or five titles two majors and member of ten years. There has been eighty-three hall of famer members in three different categories. The three categories are Performance, Meritorious service and Veterans/ Special categories. In 2008 the PBA announced a new series for senior hall of fame.
