The Wailers

Bob Marley was part of one of Jamaica’s greatest bands to ever excise playing Reggae and other types of music. The band formed in 1969 when Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer had the idea to start the band. They started off in Trench Town, the slums of Jamaica and got noticed by Island Rock Albums. After being noticed and offered a labeling deal, The Wailers made their mark in Jamaica with their music climbing the charts with number 1 hits such as ‘Is This Love’, ‘Redemption song’, and ‘Three Little Birds’. The wailers staid together for 2 years after Tosh and Bunny left the group and went on their own. Marley and Barrett brothers were still left in the band and still were making music as the wailers. After Tosh and Bunny left for two years they came back and joined the band once again and went on tour. The Wailers lasted ten years with Marley then he left and went on his own as a solo artist and became very successful in doing so. The Wailers are still making music today and going on tour.
