In high school Eminem met Kim Scott and married her in 1999. In 2001 they had their first divorce but got remarried in 2006 and were divorced again in December that same year. Hailie Jade Mathers (Eminem and Kim’s daughter) was born on December 25, 1995. After their divorce, it was agreed that Eminem and Kim would share custody of Hailie. Eminem mentions Hailie in many songs including “97 Bonnie and Clyde”, “My Dad’s Gone Crazy”, “Mockingbird”, “When I’m Gone” and many more. Eminem also adopted Lainie Mathers who is Kim’s sisters’ daughter. He also is the legal guardian of Nathan who is his half brother. In some of the pictures he is with his band D12, they almost seem like part of his family.
