There were many doctrines that William Branham preached that lined up exactly with the Bible. One of the doctrines William Branham taught was to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This can also be seen in Acts 2:38 where the Bible says; “Then Peter said unto them, ‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.’

William Branham also taught that women should not cut their hair, for it is a glory unto her. The Bible directly shows that women are not to cut their hair for it is her covering. “Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” (1 Corinthians 11:13-15) |
William’s entire ministry was based on the foundation of Hebrews 13:8. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” He preached that the same God that lived 2000 years ago is the same God living in His people today. He is the same God, capable of the same works, performing the same miracles; all we have to do is believe. Though Christ was buried, He rose again on the third day. (1 Corinthians 15:4)  |
