A bandicoot's diet is consisted of both plant and animal matter. Bandicoots are known to dig small conical holes in lawns and gardens. The bandicoot mainly hunts for insects that move around on leaves or insects that are slightly below the ground. They are also known to eat a select few of small rodents. Since they munch on animals and plants, they are considered omnivores. On their search for food they will also nibble on fruits, berries, nuts, and seeds.
