In order to see the video features of the FOSS Weather and Water multimedia, your web browser needs the QuickTime Player Plug-in, version 3 or later. It's free, provided on the CD-ROM or online, and supported by Apple.
The videos in the Video Resources section, the Weather Balloon Launch video, and the videos for Pacific Coast Day Length and Pacific Coast Sunsets all require the QuickTime plug-in. If you are having difficulty viewing any of these videos, please review this page.

The QuickTime 6 Player provided on the CD-ROM will work to view videos in FOSS Weather and Water multimedia, although it may not be the most recent version. Installing from the CD-ROM (about 5 min.) will be quicker and simpler than Internet installation over a dial-up or similar-speed connection (about 30 min.).
We do not support the QuickTime plug-in. If you have questions about installation or other features, please contact Apple at http://www.info.apple.com/usen/QuickTime/.
If you have a connection to the Internet, click the button below to download the latest version of the plug-in. Install the plug-in in the browser you wish to use.
Once the installation is complete, return to FOSS Weather and Water multimedia and click Check Browser to make sure your browser has all the plug-ins required.
An installer for QuickTime 6 is provided on the FOSS Weather and Water CD-ROM. Install the plug-in in the browser that you wish to use.
Macintosh - OS 8.5 to 9.x. Double-click the FOSS_WW icon on your desktop. When the main window opens, double-click the Installers folder. Open the QuickTime 6 for Mac folder. Open the Mac OS 8-9 folder. Double-click on the QuickTime Installer icon, and follow the instructions.
Macintosh - OS 10.1 and later. Double-click the FOSS_WW icon on your desktop. When the main window opens, double-click the Installers folder. Open the QuickTime 6 for Mac folder. Open the Mac OS X folder. Double-click on QuickTime.pkg, and follow the instructions.
PC. Double-click My Computer. Right-click on the CD-ROM drive where FOSS_WW is located. Choose Explore from the menu. Double-click Installers then double-click Quicktime 6 for PC and open QuickTimeInstaller.exe to start the installation.
Windows 95 does not support the QuickTime 6 installer provided on the CD-ROM. Please contact Apple at http://www.apple.com/support to obtain a QuickTime 5 installer.
Once the installation is complete, return to FOSS Weather and Water multimedia and click Check Browser to make sure your browser has all the plug-ins required.
