In the very beginning, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! was created by William Hanna, Joseph Barbera, Joe Ruby, Ken Spears, and Iwao Takamoto. It was originally called Mysteries Five, but it was then changed to Who’s S-S-Scared? When they first presented their show to CBS, it was rejected because it would have been too scary for younger viewers. After some tweaks (and another name change), the show was approved. It premiered on September 13, 1969 on CBS and it was a success. Only 25 episodes were made, but afterwards, the show was turned into The New Scooby-Doo Movies and was a bit different than Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
