Michigan has the most Big Ten championships with a total of 42. Nebraska (who joined in 2011) is the only team in the conference without a championship. However, Nebraska played in the 2011 Big Ten Championship game. Penn State and Ohio State have both vacated championship wins, Penn State in 2005 and 2008 and Ohio State in 2010. Ohio State was awarded the winner of the leaders division in 2012 but was ineligible to compete in the Big Ten championship game.
