Microsoft became a household name in the year 1984. They released the first joint OS with IBM and called it Microsoft Windows. After the release of MS Windows they decided to try and and expand to the Internet side of business. They started to develop the first model version of the famous web browser, Internet Explorer. The real key to the fame of the name Microsoft is the numerous operating systems and other services that they released. The services that made Microsoft known are Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Xbox Live, Skydrive, Outlook, Skype, Bing, and Microsoft Office.
