Eric was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 23, 1974. He plays the bass and piano, and is a backing vocalist for Shinedown. He joined the group in 2007. He helped other bands like Tyler Read, Oh Juliet, The Working Title, and Souls Harbor. At age 13 Bass played the trombone and played the drums for his school’s marching band. He also played the piano with his sisters.
