Macaroni Penguins are very similar to the Royal Penguins.  Both of them have yellow plumes on the top of their heads.  Macaroni Penguins have black feathers under their chins, while the Royal Penguins do not.  Macaroni Penguins weigh around 11lbs to 13lbs.  The Macaroni Penguins make nests by digging a shallow hole in the mud or in the gravel near the rocks.  The male penguin watches the newly hatched egg while the female penguin goes out to bring back food.  Macaroni Penguins eat mostly krill and sometimes squid.
