When the first Fiero was introduced in 1984 it was simply an economical commuter car. But the mid engine layout built excitement in the sports car class and GM introduced the GT model with a V6 and better styling and a spoiler. Unfortunately production of the Fiero only lasted five years. Now in 2010, Fieros are still found all around the U.S. and are becoming collectors cars as they are reaching the 25-year mark. There are many Fiero groups and get-togethers for Fiero owners. Recently Fiero owners celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Fiero in Pontiac Michigan where the cars were built. During this event many people brought there cars to show and Pontiac even displayed some 1990 Fiero prototypes. |
