The Fiero is a two door, two passenger car. The thing that makes them unique is their mid engine rear wheel drive layout. The Fiero came with either a 2.5L inline 4 cylinder or a larger 2.8L V6 rated at 140 horsepower. Transmissions available for the Fiero were a 3-speed auto, a 4-speed manual, or the 5-speed Getrag manual. A new performance suspension with better balance and power steering along with new vented disk brakes were added in ’88 to make a real performance car. The V6 and rear wheel drive made this a very quick little car that proved fun to drive. The engine bay is large enough to fit larger V6 engines and even V8’s. This modification that many owners have done makes their Fiero an even quicker and more fun car.
