The first year of the production of the Pontiac Fiero was 1984 and the Fiero came as either a 2m4 model or SE. Later in ’84 the limited Indy Pace Car edition Fiero was offered. In 1985 Pontiac came out with the GT V6 Fiero and continued the older SE model. In 1986 the Fiero GT offered a new fastback design to replace the older notchback GT, and the notchback model was still produced but now called the SE. In ’88 Pontiac also introduced the Fiero Formula which had performance improvements but with a cheaper styling. 1988 was the last year of the Fiero because of the drop in demand for two seat sports cars. Although Pontiac did make a 1990 prototype Fiero, it was never put into production. | |
