The original Fiero in ’84 was a simple mid engine economy car. It wasn’t until the Fiero GT that Pontiac introduced sporty styling and a V6 into the mid engine rear wheel drive car. Later the GT model added a sleek fastback roofline and sportier taillights. The older notchback GT was still produced but called the SE. In the last year of the Fiero’s production, Pontiac made improvements to the GT’s suspension and steering and also introduced the Fiero Formula. The Formula had all of these performance upgrades but had a cheaper standard body styling. Also ’88 was the only year Pontiac offered a T-tops model as well as the only year you could factory order a Yellow Fiero. | |
