Mac Miller was born on January 19, 1992, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Miller grew up in Point Breeze, Pittsburgh with his parents, an architect and a photographer.
He attended Winchester Thurston School before attending Taylor Allderdice High School, the school that rapper Wiz Khalifa also attended. Mac Miller first started rapping when he was only nine years old, but did not record his first track until he was fourteen years old. In 2009 he recorded his first ever mix-tape on his laptop, which he says was “of horrible quality”, selling about 70 copies.
