The Legislative Branch is the branch that is in charge of making the laws. They also have power to amend the budgets to how they see fit. The United State Congress is our national legislature. They are made up of two houses, the House of Representatives and the Senate. In the United kingdom they have a parliament where their prime minister is in charge. This branch is checked off by the president having the power to veto a bill passed by congress, but that doesn't mean the bill dies: it can pass with a two-thirds vote from congress. |
