Audubon Expedition Institute (AEI) is a fully accredited, traveling undergraduate, graduate, and dual enrollment program. Audubon Expedition Institute offers higher education that fosters ecological awareness and personal and societal transformation through immersion in a variety of environments and cultures, critical reflection, and experiential learning communities.
Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training
The COLT Semester is 100 days of land- and water-based training for careers in outdoor education and adventure tourism. Students acquire a foundation of outdoor skills and the judgment to be self-reliant in ocean, river, rock, and mountain environments. Established in 1977.
Castle Rock
The Castle Rock Institute is an educational community devoted to balancing academic work in the Humanities and outdoor adventure. It sponsors off-campus study programs for college students that combine coursework in religion, philosophy, literature and art with backpacking, climbing, biking, and paddling with locations in North Carolina and Australia.
Center for Cultural Interchange
Nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development and world peace. CCI arranges foreign exchange student programs in which international exchange students from around the world are placed with American host families and American students are placed with host families in other countries throughout the world. In addition to programs for high school exchange students, CCI provides work and travel or internship opportunities for college students in the United States and abroad as well as other short-term cultural exchange programs in the United States and abroad.
City Year
City Year is a national youth service organization that unites diverse young people ages 17-24 for a demanding year of full-time community service, civic engagement and leadership. For their work, corps members receive a weekly stipend of $175 and upon graduation are eligible for a $4,725 post-service award to be used for educational pursuits.
Corporation for National Service
Learn how you can make a difference by serving with an Americorps or Learn and Serve America Program. After their term of service, AmeriCorps members receive education awards that help finance college or pay back student loans.
Degrees Abroad
Assists students who intend to do their undergraduate or graduate studies in England, Ireland, Scotland as well as Australia and New Zealand. This service is free but limited to 'partner' universities. Assistance provided includes visa issues, accommodation, and financial aid types of issues.

The Earth Skills Summer Program is a 4-week immersion program in traditional wilderness living and travel skills. Based on the model of the Earth Skills Semester Program, the Summer Program combines intense instruction with in-the-bush experience.

An international nonprofit organization promoting intercultural learning through homestays, educational group travel, study abroad, language training, work exchange, and other cultural immersion programs.
Global Routes
Cross cultural exchange is an integral part of all Global Routes programs. The cornerstone of the Global Routes experience is a two to three week homestay in a remote rural village. Here you immerse yourself in the daily life and ritual of your host community and work with locals on projects chosen by community leaders.
Global Quest
Global Quest offers twelve-week semester programs in international settings. The program was established in 1999 and initial semester offerings are based in Thailand. Spring and fall semesters are for high school seniors and high school graduates between school and college.
Global Service
Global Service Corps (GSC) provides opportunities for volunteers worldwide to live and work abroad on projects in developing countries. Volunteers have the unique experience of living with local families. Short-term (2-4 weeks), Long-term (6 weeks to one year), and International Internship (6-10 weeks) programs.
Global Volunteers Network
Non profit organization places volunteers in community projects in China, Ecuador, Ghana, Nepal, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Thailand, and Uganda. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational, environmental and community aid programs. Examples of the exciting and rewarding activities available to volunteers include teaching English, environmental work, AIDS education, and assisting in an orphanage.
