Kyrie went to Duke to play college basketball. He was coached by Mike Krzyzewski while at Duke. He led the team in scoring through the first eight games. During the eighth game of the year, he suffered a severe ligament injury in his right big toe. He was out for the rest of the regular season until it was revealed that he would come off the bench and play limited minutes in their tournament game. In his last game for Duke, he scored 28 points in a Sweet Sixteen loss to Arizona. He only attended college for one year and played very few games. Even though he only went to college for one year he has made a promise to his dad that he would finish his bachelor’s degree at Duke in the next five years during the offseason.
